Its slow growth feature is only related to the elongation of its main body. Its leaves develop in all directions, making it both tall and space-consuming.
Cycas trees have separate males and females. If there is no male tree to produce seeds, the female tree will not produce seeds. When the flowers of the female tree bloom, the pollen-containing flowers of the male tree are plucked and the female flowers are shaken so that the dust can reach the required places and seed formation is possible.
It is said that it can withstand -11°C cold in winter, but there is a possibility of freezing at -5°C and colder depending on weather conditions. You can plant cycads in gardens in the lowlands of all our coastal regions. However, cycads should be planted in spring as a precaution to allow them to get used to the soil and climate. Over time, it can exceed 3 meters in length. This takes many years.
